    • Meadowcreek Mustangs had 14 state placers and two state champions
    • Guided Collins Hill HS to 9 state championships: 5 traditional state championships and 4 team dual state championships
    • Coached 35 individual state champions
    • Named 22-time Region Coach of the Year
    • Named Georgia Coach of the Year five times (2002, 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010)
      • Career 730-93 record
      • Georgia Coach of the Year, National Wrestling Coaches Association (2002)
      • Lifetime Service to Wrestling Award – National Wrestling Hall of Fame (2008)
      • National Wrestling Coach of the Year - National High School Coaches Association (2010)
      • Retired from GCPS after 34-year coaching career, 29 in Georgia (2010)

    • Head coach of five Georgia state championship teams in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011, finished as state runner-up in 2005
    • USA Today, ranked a Martin team as the #2 high school basketball program in the nation
    • Team featured in ESPN national broadcast 2006, 2007, 2008
    • March 2008, Norcross team won a third consecutive state title, a milestone no team has met since 1938-1940
    • Has coached 40+ players that have gone on to play college ball
    • Has coached 3 players who are currently playing in the NBA
