Gwinnett Federal Credit Union Donates $50,000.00
Suwanee, Ga., November 11, 2011 – Gwinnett Federal Credit Union has donated $50,000 to the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund, Inc. for the benefit of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) academic initiatives over the next ten years.
The gift from Gwinnett Federal Credit Union was a surprise announcement at the 2011 Teacher of the Year banquet and comes in celebration of the credit union’s 50th anniversary. The donation honors Gwinnett Federal’s longstanding relationship as the GCPS employee credit union.
“As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, this financial commitment to Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation continues our tradition of supporting the educational systems and employees that comprise the majority of our membership,” said Marshall Boutwell, president and CEO of Gwinnett Federal. “An event honoring the top teachers in the district was a perfect opportunity to add our vote of support for public education.”
